Julie, accompanied by her elderly mother, comes for a few days' rest to a hotel in the English countryside. The young woman, a director in the throes of self-doubt, hopes to find inspiration; her mother sees it as an opportunity to bring back distant memories, within the walls of this building she frequented in her youth. Julie is soon caught by the strange atmosphere of the place: the corridors are deserted, the operator is hostile, and her dog keeps running away. When night falls, circumstances prompt Julie to explore the estate. She is overcome by the nagging impression that an unspeakable secret haunts these walls.
